Our Heart Behind the Work
We’ve been friends since we were 18 years old, bonded by a deep love for babies and a shared passion for walking alongside women through motherhood. Over the years, what began as a friendship rooted in compassion has grown into a calling: to support women at every stage—pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey—with trusted, personalized doula care in San Diego and beyond.
As a doula duo, we've supported countless families and noticed a consistent need—continuity of care and a familiar presence during life’s most vulnerable moments. We've both experienced the unexpected firsthand, including premature births, and we understand how quickly plans can change. That’s why we offer continuous support from the moment you choose us as your doulas—not just when labor begins.
In traditional doula care, if your doula can’t attend your birth, a backup—often someone you've never met—is called in. That never felt right to us. So, we chose to do things differently.
By working as a dedicated birth and postpartum doula team, we ensure you’ll always have a familiar, trusted face by your side. From the first consult to birth support and postpartum visits, you’ll build a connection with both of us. If one of us is unavailable, the other steps in seamlessly—no strangers, no last-minute substitutions.
We believe that pregnancy, birth, and the fourth trimester deserve more than just check-ins—they deserve consistent care, emotional safety, and genuine connection. Our heart is to create a space where you feel truly seen, deeply supported, and never alone.
If you're looking for a doula team in San Diego committed to compassion, communication, and continuous care, we would be honored to be part of your journey.

About Liz
Hi, I’m Liz Williams, a proud San Diego native and mother of four incredible children. For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt called to serve mothers during one of the most transformative moments of their lives. But it wasn’t until the birth of my first child that I truly understood what this calling meant.
My first birth was a moment of joy but also one of vulnerability. I went into it feeling unprepared and uncertain. While everything went smoothly, I realized how vital emotional and physical support is during labor—support that I didn’t fully have. That experience planted the seed for my journey as a doula. It awakened my passion to ensure that no mother feels alone or unseen during her birthing or postpartum journey.
Motherhood has been my greatest teacher, and each of my four children’s births has shaped how I support other mothers today. I understand the rawness, the beauty, and the challenges that come with this season of life. My mission is to walk alongside families, offering spiritual, physical, and emotional care that empowers them to feel confident, connected, and deeply supported.
As a Trained Labor and Certified Postpartum Doula (CPD), I approach my work with balance. I blend evidence-based practices with a compassionate and intuitive presence. Whether it’s hands-on techniques during labor, gentle encouragement in moments of doubt, or holding space during tender postpartum times, I strive to meet every family where they are.
I’ve supported births in hospital and home settings—and yes, even a car birth or two! I am always expanding my skills through education in Spinning Babies techniques, breastfeeding, postpartum care, and holding space for pregnancy loss. Every family I serve holds incredible worth, and it is my greatest honor to walk with them during these precious moments.
I believe every mother carries a God-given intuition to guide her through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. My role is to nurture that inner strength and provide unwavering support as you embrace this life-changing journey. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel empowered, prepared, and deeply cared for.
I would love to hear your story and support you on your path to the birth and postpartum experience you’ve been dreaming of. Let’s connect and create something beautiful together.

About Abigail
Hi, I’m Abigail Smith Leyva—a wife, mother of six, and Certified Postpartum & Birth Doula passionate about walking alongside women during one of the most tender seasons of their lives.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to caring for mothers and children. I began nannying at just 10 years old and quickly realized that behind every baby was a mother who also needed nurturing, rest, and support. That instinct to care for not just the child but the mother herself has guided me ever since.
Before becoming a doula, I spent over a decade supporting families, learning firsthand the beauty and complexity of motherhood. But it wasn’t until I had my first son at 22—while navigating life as a single mom—that I truly stepped into my calling. I experienced how much strength it takes to raise a child and how essential it is to have someone by your side. That season shaped me in powerful ways and deepened my heart for postpartum care.
Today, as a mom of four biological children and two amazing stepsons, I understand the emotional and physical demands that come with caring for a growing family. I know how easily moms can lose themselves in the day-to-day, and how deeply healing it is to feel seen, held, and supported. That’s where I come in.
With over 15 years of hands-on experience, I approach postpartum care with both professional knowledge and lived experience. I offer calm, compassionate presence—whether that means holding your newborn so you can rest, preparing nourishing meals, or simply listening without judgment when the emotions feel overwhelming.
My mission is to create a postpartum experience that is rooted in healing, clarity, and connection—where you feel empowered to step into motherhood with confidence and peace. Every woman deserves a village, and I would be honored to be part of yours.
If you’re preparing for life after birth and longing for support that honors your unique story, I’d love to walk alongside you.
Let’s create a peaceful, supported start to your motherhood journey—together.
